राजकोट, 16 जनवरी (वार्ता) अंतरराष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट परिषद (आईसीसी) ने भारत के खिलाफ खेले गये तीसरे एकदिवसीय मैच में धीमी ओवर गति के लिए आयरलैंड की टीम पर मैच फीस का 10 प्रतिशत जुर्माना लगाया गया है।
एमिरेट्स आईसीसी अंतरराष्ट्रीय पैनल की मैच रेफरी जी एस लक्ष्मी ने तय समय से दो ओवर कम डालने पर आयरलैंड पर यह जुर्माना लगाया।
अंतर्राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट परिषद (आईसीसी) ने एक बयान में कहा कि खिलाड़ियों और खिलाड़ी सहायक कर्मियों के लिए आईसीसी आचार संहिता के अनुच्छेद 2.22 के अनुसार खिलाड़ियों पर उनके द्वारा निर्धारित समय के भीतर गेंदबाजी पूरी नहीं करने पर प्रत्येक ओवर के लिए मैच फीस का पांच प्रतिशत जुर्माना लगाया जाता है। जो न्यूनतम ओवर गति अपराधों से संबंधित है।
आयरलैंड की कप्तान गैबी लुईस ने प्रस्तावित जुर्माने को स्वीकार कर लिया। इसलिए औपचारिक सुनवाई की कोई आवश्यकता नहीं रही।
गौरतलब है कि बुधवार को खेले गए मैच में भारत ने तीसरा वनडे रिकॉर्ड 304 रन से जीतकर सीरीज 3-0 से अपने नाम कर ली। यह महिला वनडे में मेजबान टीम की सबसे बड़ी जीत भी थी। भारत की शानदार जीत की आधारशिला प्रतिका रावल (154) और स्मृति मंधाना (135) दोनों के शतकों से रखी गयी। भारत ने पांच विकेट गंवाकर 435 का विशाल स्कोर बनाया, जो महिला वनडे में उनका अब तक का सबसे बड़ा स्कोर है। इसके बाद लक्ष्य का पीछा करने मैदान में उतरी आयरलैंड टीम को भारतीय गेंदबाजों ने 31.4 ओवर में 131 रन पर ढेर कर दिया।

Ireland penalised for slow over-rate in third ODI against India
Rajkot, Jan 16 (UNI) Ireland players have been fined 10 per cent of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate in the third ODI of their ICC Women’s Championship series against India here on Wednesday.
G S Lakshmi of the Emirates ICC International Panel of Match Referees imposed the sanction after Ireland were ruled to be two overs short of the target after time allowances were taken into consideration.
In accordance with Article 2.22 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to minimum over-rate offences, players are fined five per cent of
their match fee for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time.
Ireland captain Gaby Lewis pled guilty to the offence and accepted the proposed sanction, so
there was no need for a formal hearing.
On-field umpires Kim Cotton and Akshay Totre, third umpire Virender Sharma and fourth umpire Vrinda Rathi leveled the charge.
india won the third ODI between the two sides, securing a record victory to take the series 3-0.
